Programme Descriptions
Sports & Leadership Development
We develop more than athletes. Through structured football, basketball, and athletics training, SAA's certified coaches integrate values, teamwork, and life skills into every session. Boys and girls train equally. From our Foundation Phase (ages 4–6) through to our Advanced Phase (ages 16+), every young person gains confidence, discipline, and a platform to lead.
Education & Scholarships
Education is the bridge that empowers a child to shape their own destiny. SAA awards scholarships to high-potential students, distributes essential school supplies, and provides targeted tutoring across all our programmes. Every scholarship opens a door to opportunity. Every supported student is a future leader in formation.
Character & Mentorship
The most lasting change begins on the inside. SAA's mentorship programme delivers weekly life-skills sessions, one-on-one coaching, and leadership development. Grounded in our five core values, this programme equips young people with identity, purpose, and direction that outlasts any sports season.
Nutrition & Feeding
Hungry children cannot learn, and malnourished youth cannot train. SAA provides daily lunches to 162 students at Mbagathi Road Primary School and distributes annual food packages to over 500 beneficiary families. Caring for the whole person begins with caring for the body.
Health, Wellbeing & Child Safeguarding
Through our strategic partnerships, the Sustainable Health Endeavor (S.H.E) initiative promotes holistic health, life skills, and child safety across our programmes. Over two terms, this initiative reached over 650 children, delivering vital hygiene education and menstrual health support to keep girls in school. Over 250 Grade 9 students also completed a comprehensive course in life skills, hygiene, and core values within a safe and supportive environment.
Sports Equipment
Quality equipment is not a luxury — it is essential for dignified, effective training. To date, SAA has distributed over 4,000 items of sports equipment to young athletes across Kibera, Kakuma, and Dadaab, ensuring every child has the tools to play, grow, and thrive. Together with our generous partners, we remain deeply committed to equipping every young athlete with the resources they deserve.
Environmental Stewardship
We empower young people to become active, responsible stewards of their communities. Through school and neighbourhood clean-up campaigns, tree planting, and greening sports fields, SAA fosters a lasting sense of pride, ownership, and environmental responsibility in the places where our youth live, learn, and play.
